Call for Papers

The aim of this workshop is to provide a unique forum for discussing in depth the challenges, opportunities, novel techniques and applications on modeling, managing, searching and mining rich geo-spatial data, in order to fuel scientific research on big spatial data applications beyond the current research frontiers. The workshop is intended to bring together researchers from different fields of the database community that deal with the management of spatial and spatio-temporal data, social network data, textual data, multimedia data, semantic data and ontologies, uncertain data and other common types of geo-referenced data. In particular, submissions covering topics from the following non-exclusive list in the context of enriched geo-spatial data are encouraged:

  • Data models and representation
  • Uncertainty and user-generated geo-spatial content
  • Quality control and assurance
  • Data fusion techniques
  • Privacy and confidentiality
  • Synthesis of multi-source data
  • Analysis of multi-source data
  • Management of Data
  • Data stream management and mobile computing
  • Spatial reasoning and analysis
  • Data integration and extraction
  • Data uncertainty
  • Crowdsourcing computing resources
  • Non-traditional visualization techniques
  • Data-mining and discovery
  • Query processing
