Data Science for Social Goodx Summer Projects – Data Science Internship
This year, the MCML will partake in the renowned Data Science for Social Good (DSSG) initiative
28.01.2021
LMU Munich joins forces with University of Warwick under the DSSGx UK chapter of the DSSG Foundation supported by the Alan Turing Institute to organise 2021 DSSGx Summer Projects.
The programme will run over 12 weeks from 7 June to 27 August 2021, and will be entirely online due to COVID-19. DSSGx gives aspiring data scientists the opportunity to refine their data science skills through intense training, and by working in small supervised teams on real- world data mining, machine learning, and data science projects. Selected fellows will receive a stipend to work with global non-profit organisations and government bodies to make a real-world social impact with their data, by improving their services, interventions, and outreach. Fellows will be supported by technical mentors and project managers with a strong technical background and several years of industry or consulting experience.
If you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, have a passion for data science, care about the social good, and love to work in an international team of top talent, you are invited to apply before 31 January 12:00 (GMT) via: https://warwick.ac.uk/research/data-science/warwick-data/dssgx/#Fellow
Furthermore, we will shortly start recruiting technical mentors and project managers, who will be paid full-time during the three months and receive the unique opportunity to work with top international data-science talents on projects that really matter. For more information on these roles please visit: https://warwick.ac.uk/research/data-science/warwick-data/dssgx/#Team
